About Nathan

Nathan is a licensed Psychologist. He earned his PhD in Counseling Psychology at Southern Illinois University – Carbondale with a focus on college students and transitional issues. He completed his pre-doctoral training at Towson University in Maryland and his post-doctoral internship at Texas A&M. He then worked for 11 years in Wisconsin at various settings including a university counseling center, medical clinic, and private practice while also teaching and presenting at the undergraduate and graduate level.

Nathan is a compassionate therapist/teacher who incorporates mindfulness and cognitive-behavioral strategies to tailor therapy to each client’s needs. He will help you understand how to be more present-focused, how to set yourself up for success, and how to challenge negative thoughts and beliefs that hold you back from living a genuine life.

When away from work, Nathan enjoys running, day trips around Oregon, discussing philosophy and sci-fi, and trying out new hobbies. He moved to Corvallis with his husband in 2018 to enjoy milder winters and vast natural beauty.
