About Laura

Laura is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who helps families, individuals, children and adults manage the ups, downs and challenges of life. She believes that those of us who have experienced traumatic events can heal by learning to 're-parent' ourselves. She views her role as one of mental health coach who provides support and guidance for her clients on their journey towards wellness.

A positive presence, Laura uses her warm presence and great sense of humor to help clients navigate the seriousness of life with the healthy outlook and honoring detachment necessary for lasting change. Laura graduated from Kansas State University and Washburn State University in Kansas she brings midwest sensibilities and practicalities to her work with families and believes that we are all capable of managing anxiety, worry and sadness better than we give ourselves credit.

Laura is skilled in a number of psychotherapeutic approaches including Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Structural Family Therapy.
