Autism Spectrum Conditions

Treatment of Asperger's and Autism Spectrum Conditions focuses on fostering emotional safety and working patiently and lovingly with children, adolescents and adults (and their families).

Treatment focuses on three major challenges:

  1. Difficulty with social interaction,
  2. Challenges with verbal and non-verbal communication, and the
  3. Tendency towards repetitive behaviors or narrow/obsessive interests.

By utilizing supportive counseling, art work, written projects, play therapy, social practice and a lot of patience, we help clients develop a 'social story' and a new 'life instructional manual' that fosters greater integration in the world in a safe and meaningful way.

We also provide supportive family counseling for family members dealing with a child who has an autistic spectrum condition.
